Dear Delegates, Advisors and Guests,

I am honoured and pleased to welcome you to the 18th edition of the Instituto Thomas Jefferson’s Model United Nations and Organization of American States Conference, “Blooming Minds.”

 

This year’s theme highlights the constant growth that we experience throughout our lives. “Blooming Minds” represents a reconnection not only with the meaning of development for global progress, but also with the fresh, curious minds growing along the way to achieve it. Evidently there’s always a starting point, and TJMUN is the perfect space to begin.

Often, you may find yourself standing in an unfamiliar place, unsure of what to do, and when you notice there's always something new to learn, you will unlock your true potential. 

 

With that in mind, I would like to invite you to absorb as much knowledge as possible in this edition, where you have the right to be wrong, to fail, but also to develop, to grow, to bloom. Be passionate and brave about what you believe, create, support or observe, because each seed you water, will gradually flourish. 

Enjoy this magnificent experience and keep your minds blooming.
